I love Christmas because it really lifts spirits up! I've been oddly happy the whole day and will probably be the whole week. Even if it's waking up early at 5am and sleeping late just to get some presents done. CHRISTMAS I LOVE YOU. And this year's christmas is filled with awesome gadget gifts which i totally adoreeeeeeee. :D I still have my eye on a few things as well. RESIST!

Lately, I have brought myself to truly believe that just being in the moment and being happy is honestly good enough. And i did. I did really believe that I was happy and not think about the future. But, well, i guess people still do have slips sometimes. I'm sorry I feel this way. I know i really shouldnt.
Maybe I should try to stay away from people who even brought about all these thoughts. |

OH. So when my friends came over to play mahjong last time, I had to worry about what the family members think. The dad complains that he has to wake up early the next morning and the brother scolded me for turning our house into a GAMBLING DEN and that it's not okay just to play in the room cos it's still noisy. HOW IS IT that you're doing the EXACT SAME THING and when i raised it to the parents they just went, "oh it's nothing la. pretend we never said that last time." My dad still has to wake up early and i have to turn in early and it is obviously much noisier now since they wash their tiles without any care of trying to do it as quietly as possible, which was what i tried to do the other time.
WTF? WTF WTF WTF WTF.
You know what, i'm getting so SICK AND TIRED of all this bias-ness going on at home. I want to freaking move out. Only problem is i don't have cash to do that. |

Yesterday, I gave my feet a good soak in cold water cos they were getting sore from all that walking in 4inches everyday for nearly 13-17 hours depending. I don't know how I do it sometimes. Maybe i'll try flats tmr. Weiliang says bring slippers to work hahaha. I carry boxes on heels, squat on the floor to pack on heels, walk on cobbled stone ground on heels. No wonder my feet is getting so sore.
It's starting to get really obvious who are the friendly ones and the not so friendly ones in the office anymore. I tend to want to call them the bitch team. Ohwells. Just have to suck it up and keep doing work. Im done with round 1 of archiving. Can't even begin to imagine when I have to start on round 2! Rawrrr. Ok but still, at least done with round 1.
Amidst all my planning for next year, I realise i will be very very poor all the way from january to july. I don't know what to do after july other than perhaps F1. Worse come to worse, give tuition like there's no tomorrow. Since the purpose of next year is to basically earn moolah for 2011.
Other things besides work include, I dont know why the hell im still playing restaurant city. (!??!) Seriously.. but now there's like so many things that you can do in the game it's starting to get too complicated. And all the dishes now require 4 ingredients. Darn. Shopping. Shopping has made me broke like CRAZYYYYYY. Every december, I get in a state of being broke like nobody's business. And it's all Christmas shopping i swear. It's the only time of the month where I know i have to make gifts anyway and i don't really consider the price of something that much before i throw it into the basket, making me broke beyond broke. ): And excuse me, why is there food shows on tv now when i'm supposed to be sleeping. I really should create a christmas list. Don't even know who wants to buy christmas gifts for me anyway hahaha. Probably only my family and a few close friends so it's actually kinda pointless to create a list.
I was just telling shu that day that there are a few items where I probably will never get it on my own but don't mind having. Some include books. Cookbooks included - think thick thick cookbooks by Jamie Oliver and Martha Steward. Zomg. Just because from young, I was made to think that, books can be borrowed from the library. No need to waste money buying it. Videos/dvds/cds as well. I don't mind getting erm, damn weird things. Things like wooden boxes used to store wine. HAHAH. Usually when i go into a store with awesome layout, i tend to get more intrigued with the things they used for their layout. WHICH IS WHY I LOVE IKEA.
Okay but anyways, i need to sleep. I promise i'll try to load photos up soon. Not like any of my friends need photos badly anyway haha. Night! |

| Brunch at SPRUCE |

I was searching for places to go for a good brunch and came across this and went with my sis on sunday! We were lucky! We didn't make a reservation but they had a free table for an hour til the next reservation! So brunch was kinda fast but the food and ambience was good (though a tad too noisy for my liking as it was weekend)! The portion of Spruce Eggs Benny wasnt as large as I thought it would be though, judging from the photo on the weblink, BUT YES, IT WAS REALLY GOOD! :) I love the poached eggs, the hollandaise sauce (which I originally thought was the broken egg yolk) and the corn bits! I was wiping all of the hollandaise sauce and my broken egg yolks with anything (/nothing) I had on my fork! Sis had the Spruce Big Brekkie with scrambled eggs. The toast with butter that came with it was awesome! Warm, crisp on the outside and soft with the bite. Say YUM. We also loved the roasted tomato that came with it, it was warm and juicy, not soggy and mushy! Roasted mushrooms on the side were great too! The mini hashbrown/grilled potato was abit too dry and hard though, we prefer the usual hashbrowns! Bought a pear and almond muffin for kk as I was meeting him after brunch. We shared it later and oh my, the muffin was heavenly! It tasted better than it looked! Moist, and there were juicy baked pear bits in it! I wished I had bought more, am craving for it now!
Am going back there again soon for ra's birthday celebration and I hope muffin-of-the-day will be pear and almond!! :) Maybe I'll ask if they could make some for us when making my reservation... |
